Disney on Ice is a must for kids. Anything about Disney is truly magical and they always go above and beyond. This year we have to opportunity to watch Disney On Ice again, this time featuring Frozen. We always look forward to this show every year. It’s almost like our tradition. Well, at least while my daughter is still at it. My 10 years old son is not into it anymore except Star Wars. Read here about our last year’s experience at Disney On Ice Reach for the Stars.
What to expect?
1. Pick the right Disney On Ice for your family – There are 5 Disney on Ice shows that you can choose from, it depends on the date and location when they go on tour. Be on the lookout on which ones that is suited for the whole family.

Dare to Dream – this one focusing on Disney Princesses and now it includes Moana! So if your child is a Moana fan, this is the one.
2. What’s the right age for the show ? – It really depends on the parents. Two and under are free. I’ve seen a lot of kids age 2 going to the show. But i have to say starting the age of 3 , majority of kids at this age is more aware and focus at the show. Regardless, there are a lot of kids of all ages at the show. Disney makes it super spectacular.
3. Buy your tickets ahead of time – To get good seats, buy your tickets ahead of time. Good seats get sold out fast. I suggest to buy it right when they go on sale.
4. Bring a jacket – Wherever you are, even if you live somewhere warm bring a jacket with you. It really depends on what’s comfortable for you, but it’s 10+ degree cooler because of the ice skating rink.
5. Dress up in Disney Garb – Bring in the fun by wearing your Disney garb, whether sporting your Mickey ears or Mickey shirts. Even better, have your kids wear their Disney costumes. Make it memorable and fun! But by the way, ages 14+ are not allowed to wear costumes at the show.
6. Set expectations on what show they are going – When you say Disney On Ice , instantly the kids would expect all the characters will show up especially their favorite one. You have to briefly tell them what characters will be at the show, but regardless it’s still a lot of fun!
7. How long is the show ? It’s an average of 2 hours and have a 15-30 minutes intermission. It depends on the show. But every time we watch the show, it feels like it went by so fast because it is so captivating !
I have to say that on every Disney On Ice show that I’ve been to, it’s always magical and it brings out the inner child in you. The production, costumes and music is totally spectacular.
