Since fall is already here, i love to talk about one my favorite topics and that is the must have dresses for fall. I’m partnering with Banana Republic in this campaign and i’m super excited because as a self-confessed girly girl i love wearing dresses. Even when the weather is a little chilly as long as it’s bearable, i wear a dress. I only wear jeans or pants during winter season. It’s because i’m super petite ( 5 ft) and i looked taller in dresses rather than jeans. Also dresses are easier to wear and to style. Everybody have their own preference and style of dressing, but that is just me. So today, i’m going to talk about my two favorite dress trend this fall.
One Shoulder Ruffle Dress
The touch of ruffle detailing on one shoulder gives a statement to the classic and sleek look of the dress. Plus the gingham pattern gives that modern vintage vibe. It looks so sharp, it makes me feel like i’m ready to go to the office and then have a nice brunch with my officemates or maybe a brunch date with my girlfriends in the weekend and just wasting our time away shopping till we can’t carry our shopping bags anymore. Oh gosh, i’m imagining again. In reality that is not my life, i’m a stay at home mom and i wear leggings + t-shirt everyday but when we go out as a family i dressed up from time to time just like here. It makes me feel brand new when i’m dolled up. Tip: If you are petite like me i suggest using a highwaisted belt on a shift dress, it cinched up your waist and makes you appear taller
Silk Slip Dress
dress: c/o Banana Republic / bag: Prada similar here / hat: BCBG / belt: Banana Republic similar style here / bracelet : Henri Bendel (old) other option here / mules: BP Nordstrom
When you say silk slip dress, the first thing that will come up to your idea of dressing is for night out or date night. Well, in this case i’m taking this silk slip dress for a daytime stroll. I styled it with my mules with chunky wide heels, a crossbody mini bag and a wide brim fedora hat. Another thing i love about this dress, is the color. It’s so fall ! I’m already thinking as a great Thanksgiving dinner dress and a date night look for fall. I’m also thinking of layering it underneath with a thermal top when the weather is a little chilly. There is so much potential in this dress and i can’t wait to mix and match them in my closet. This is definitely a part of my fall capsule wardrobe.
Thank you so much for reading and have a great day!
