If you’ve been following me along in this blogging journey you know i have a little obsession on creating tablescapes. So today i’m taking you a tour of my Thanksgiving tablescape this year. I’m featuring a rustic glam look that you can also use for Christmas or New Year’s Eve. I wanted to make it versatile that would work on any occasions at the same time a festive look as well. Every holidays i always love to transform my dinner table, it’s okay if you don’t have all the most updated and top of the line dining room. Really, it’s hard to keep up with the ever changing design styles out there. So you just have to work on what you’ve got and add a little accessories to achieve the look you want.
Here are my tips on how to create a rustic glam tablescape:
- Pick your theme colors – In this tablescape, i picked the color combinations of gold, white and brown. Rustic theme is all about a mix of nature elements like wood and greenery. You can add whites to make it light and bright thus can also makes your table look clean, welcoming and put together.
- Add natural elements – Like i said rustic is all about adding natural touch to your set up. So i use this jute round placemat, silverwares with faux wood details , marble and wood coasters and a white carved willow wood hurricane candle holder. I also add some flowers and greenery to give that pop of green colors on the table.
- Add modern elements – Since we are trying to achieve a rustic-glam look, we add modern elements like mix metals , crystals, glass and ceramics. I wanted the gold napkin rings to stand out to make it glamorous. You can also use bronze, silver or a combination of metals if you feel like it. The clear crystal glasses exudes elegance and modernity along with the ceramic dinnerware set

The last but not the least, have fun on creating your tablescape. Don’t stress yourself out and don’t over think, sometimes you’ll be surprise on what you have come up with what you already have. Rustic-glam is so easy to achieve and very cost effective as well.
