So this is it, our Christmas card 2017 . I always take a family portrait for our Christmas card to send out every year and this year we are partnering with Shutterfly to bring you our easy breezy and wonderful experience with them. First off, we took our family portrait right after Thanksgiving day so that it won’t be too cold to take photos outside. It was really nice that day and also the best time to take photos. I wanted to have the fall leaves and golden glow background to match our outfits. Speaking of outfits, i wanted our looks to coordinate, to look classic and timeless. It’s nice to be trendy for photos but when it comes to our annual family portrait i want to have that timeless and classic look. So i always stay away from too much prints and too many colors. I want one particular color to stand out but the rest have to look neutral. But really there is no rules on what to wear for family photos, it really depends on your personal preference and what concept and look you are going for. One of our family friends wore all plaid for their Christmas photos and they all look so cute. Now i’m thinking doing plaid next year. I have quite an obsession with plaids.

Aside from the Christmas card, i also ordered a customized frame for our family portrait. I was thinking of putting it by our foyer. As i was checking our portrait it made me realize of how far we’ve come along in our marriage, 11 years and 2 kids. It just seems like yesterday since the day we met, got married , got pregnant then bought our first home. The memories are still clear in my mind and the journey is amazing inspite of the ups and downs, because really no marriage is perfect that’s why it’s always important to work on it. I feel so blessed and grateful for this life and i’m always hoping for the best of our marriage and our family.
