*Thank you Hilton Columbus Downtown Hotel for sponsoring this post, all thoughts and opinions are mine.

We feel so grateful to partner with Hilton Columbus Downtown Hotel for accomodating us a complimentary stay during our fun weekend getaway at Columbus,Ohio. Just a little bit of information just in case you didn’t know, Columbus is known for it’s art scene. From galleries of professional and independent artist, performers, designers and film, this city is oozing with so much creativity and passion. It is the home of the art and now art have a new home – Hilton Columbus Downtown Hotel. This hotel have an amazing art display in every corner. The first thing i noticed right when we entered the hotel is it’s stunning, artsy and modern interior design. The furnitures are a tasteful mix of modern scandinavian meets industrial. I love the laid back yet luxurious modern youthful vibe of this hotel.

I’m proud to say that one of their many best amenities is the Gallerie Bar and Bistro. Let me start first with the interior design, it is very upscale, clean, modern, vibrant and totally Instagram worthy. I love the sky light feature across the whole level of  the restaurant , it fills the room with natural daylight. It makes me feel good and awake. I love it ! We had our breakfast here and it was amazing. You have the choice to do ala carte or breakfast buffet. We did the breakfast buffet  because they have everything. We also grab some desserts before we head home.We ordered Vanilla and Honey – which is like creme brulee that have a little twist and way prettier than the average. Also, Potatoes and Ice Cream – chocolate potato cake, purple potato ice cream, hot fudge and smoke sea salt.

Our room is over looking the skyline of Columbus and i am so impressed with the  surrounding areas around the hotel as soon as we arrived. There are  lots of restaurants nearby and Short North is just a walking distance. Short North is the “art of soul ” of Columbus, it is a vibrant cultural and business community. There are a lot of restaurants, from laid back joints to fancy ones. While we were strolling that night to look for dining areas, the nightlife scene at  Short North made me reminisced my younger years, cool and energetic. I would just say “those were the days”. Aside from the restaurants, there are also shops, art galleries and salons at Short North.

During our weekend getaway, we spend the whole day at Columbus Zoo and Aquarium and Zoombezi Bay. Hilton Columbus Downtown Hotel is offering a family fun package where you get free breakfast during your stay and tickets to attractions in Columbus. It would definitely save you time and the staffs are  happy to assist you. One of the hotel receptionist, Mackenzie was so warm, accomodating and also amazing in assisting us with our needs. If you are thinking of doing a family excursion around Columbus, i highly recommend on checking out and inquiring about their family fun package.

There are so many things to do in Columbus especially for young modern families who wants to get away for a weekend somewhere in a city that is decent, modern, clean and not so congested but also lively.
Things to see and do:

10. Easton

Another must place to visit and eat is North Market which is just adjacent to the hotel and very short walking distance. North Market is Central Ohio’s historic public market since 1876, featuring fresh and prepared foods, authentic cuisines and unique gifts.
I wish we have lots of time to do most of these “things to do” while we were there. When you are a parent with two school aged kids who have different wants and needs, there is only so much you can do. But  it’s all good  because the experience, the adventure and the time we all spent together during that weekend is really what matters most. We would love to come back here again one day.
